MANAGER OF NURSING SERVICES
Field of activities
Under the authority and direction of the Executive Director, the Manager of Nursing Services is responsible for the vision of the nursing care, and for defining the values, culture, philosophy and implementation of practices and mechanisms that will promote access to high-quality and safe nursing care. The Manager of Nursing Services has the responsibility of supervising the Nursing Team, as well, as provide day-to-day management and long-term planning of the clinical areas of services.
The Manager of Nursing Services has the responsibility to collaborate with the Executive Director, Physicians, and other Managers in integrating quality, safety and risk management by promoting health and safety and adhering to all policies and procedures.

Pre-requisites

Bachelor degree in Nursing, with (5) years’ experience;

Member of Ordre des Infirmières et Infirmiers du Québec (O.I.I.Q.);

Demonstrated skills and experience in management;

Good organizational and communication (written & verbal) skills;

Ability to work independently and efficiently;
-
Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills and work ethics;
-
Ability to maintain confidentiality;
-
Experience working in First Nations community, an understanding of the Mohawk culture is an asset.
Working conditions
- Type of position: Full Time (35 hrs. weekly)
- Salary: As per the Kanesatake Health Center Inc. salary scale (FIQ)
- Probation period: 6 months
